GENIALLY

  A TRIP TO LONDON

I have chosen this presentation with genially since I think it is similar to the one I would ask my students to do.

In groups of 3, they have to choose an English speaking city. Then, on genially they will have to create a presentation in which images, videos and importsnt information must be included.

At the end of the presentation every group has to include a quzz in order to test their classmates.

Before the students start working on their projects, I will hand out a sheet with the rules and items that need to be included in their presentation. Also, I will provide them with the rubric Iwill use to evaluate their project.

This tool is very useful since it allows us to include all kinds of materials (audio, video, photo, text). This makes the presentation not only more appealing to the students but also easier to understand.

PIXTON

GREETINGS AND INTRODUCTIONS

I have created this short activity for the 1st  year of ESO after teaching them greetings and  introductions.

The purpose of this activity is for them to practice the common expressions to introduce themselves and give some personal information.

I would organise this activity in pairs, so they can practice orally afterwards.

I am sure students will find this activity more appealing than just writing a dialogue in their notebook.

Also, I will propose an activity in which in groups of three they will have to create the entire comic, that is choosing the characters, backgrounds, and so on.

EDPUZZLE

 WINDOW ON BRITAIN

Activity: Watch this video and answer the questions.

WINDOW ON BRITAIN

During the confinement, edpuzzle was a very important and useful tool in order for the students to practice their listening skills. Although I sent them all the audio files from the textbook, it is not the same than watching a video. A video is aleways more appealing to them as well as easier to understand.

In addition, with EDPUZZLE I was able to check the students' progress and their answers.

I like using this video in my classes because students often confuse the terms Grerat Britain, The Uk and England. Besides, the pronunciation is quite clear.

In the video I have also made some audio notes to clear up some aspects.

I have never flipped my classrroom, but  I definitely will once I get back to work from my maternity leave ;)

FINAL TASK

FINAL TASK I have decided to talk about the activity Alberto Diaz organized on genially, because it was one I really liked apart from the o...
